Hatten has been writing songs since he was five years old. He would get on his bicycle and make up his own Top-40 songs including guests and commercials all on the fly. He then went to Berklee College of Music where he excelled. He was offered gigs with very famous musicians which I will not name. He turned them all down. I asked him ,"Why?" He replied; "Why would I want to play someone else's song night after night". What an answer! Now let me be fair. He does not even want to play our own songs once they are written. He always moves on to the next song. He believes in trying to make each song a record that can stand on its own.
